Confidentiality loss via Bluetooth path traversal
Published Apr 7, 2024 · Updated Mar 29, 2025
Path traversal in affected Huawei EMUI and HarmonyOS releases allows remote attackers to read data through the Bluetooth-based sharing module. Affected releases are EMUI 12.0.0 and 13.0.0 plus HarmonyOS 2.0.0, 2.1.0, 3.0.0, 3.1.0, and 4.0.0; Huawei has not disclosed the unsafe path operation. Network access requires no privileges or user interaction under the published assessment, and the reported consequence is limited to confidentiality.
