VPN service interruption via failed certificate verification

Improper exceptional-condition handling in Junos OS allows remote attackers to interrupt certificate-dependent VPN negotiations. The pkid daemon consumes all available CPU after certificate verification fails and then stops processing later verification requests. An unauthenticated attacker who can reach IKE and submit an invalid certificate can leave every later certificate-dependent VPN negotiation unable to complete.
