Unauthenticated flowd crash via specific URL request
Published Apr 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in flowd in affected Juniper Networks Junos OS releases allows remote attackers to crash and restart the daemon. While processing a specific URL, flowd overflows a stack-based buffer; Juniper has not disclosed the exact parsing routine or field that exceeds its bounds. URL filtering and SPC3 or MS-MPC/-MIC hardware are required, and repeated requests sustain the service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
