Tunnel traffic manipulation via omitted IPsec authentication

Missing IPsec authentication in Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3 and SRX Series allows remote attackers to alter tunnel traffic. The Packet Forwarding Engine sends no authentication information and accepts inbound encrypted data without checking authentication when HMAC-SHA-384 or HMAC-SHA-512 is configured. An attacker must reach an affected IPsec tunnel; affected peers pass unauthenticated transit traffic, while an unaffected peer causes traffic failure.
