Code execution via unchecked AcroForm object lifetime
Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in AcroForm handling in Foxit PDF Reader and Editor allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. AcroForm processing operates on an object without first confirming that it still exists, allowing access to freed memory. Execution requires a target to open the malicious file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
