Information disclosure via unvalidated U3D object read
Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in the U3D parser of Foxit PDF Reader 2023.3.0.23028 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive data. The parser fails to validate user-supplied U3D data before reading past the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the disclosure can support a separate code-execution chain.
