Remote code execution via freed AcroForm Doc object
Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in AcroForms in affected Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor releases allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. AcroForm handling performs operations on a Doc object after its lifetime has ended because object existence is not validated. Opening a crafted PDF or visiting a malicious page is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
