CVE-2024-30337

Code execution via unvalidated freed AcroForm object

Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Use-after-free in AcroForm handling in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious PDF. The AcroForm parser operates on an object without first validating that the object still exists, allowing access after it has been freed. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful code execution occurs in the current process.
