Code execution via Doc object use-after-free
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader 2023.3.0.23028 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted PDF. The Doc-object handler performs operations on an object without first confirming that the object still exists, permitting use after free. A target must visit a malicious page or open the file, and successful exploitation runs code in the Reader process context.
