Information disclosure via unchecked freed Annotation object
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Use-after-free in Annotation handling in Foxit PDF Reader 2023.2.0.21408 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a crafted PDF. Annotation handling performs operations on an object after failing to validate that the object still exists, causing access to freed memory. A target must visit a malicious page or open the file; disclosure is direct, while code execution requires chaining with another flaw.
