Code execution via stale template object access
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF or malicious page. Template-object handling performs operations after the target object has been deleted because its continued existence is not validated. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit the page, and successful code runs in the application's current process context.
