Code execution via unvalidated AcroForm Doc object
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader 2023.3.0.23028 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. AcroForm handling performs operations on a Doc object without first validating that the object still exists, enabling reuse of freed memory. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful execution runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
