Code execution via OGG heap buffer overflow
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe Animate 24.0.2, 23.0.5 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Animate's OGG file parser writes beyond a heap buffer while processing crafted input; Adobe has not disclosed the affected function or malformed field. A victim must open the file, after which code runs with the current user's privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=23.0.5
