Code execution via AcroForm annotation over-read
Published May 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat and Reader allows attackers to execute code as the current user via a crafted PDF. The AcroForm annotation parser reads beyond an allocated memory structure while processing malformed annotation data. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file; successful code runs with the victim's privileges on the affected desktop.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
