CVE-2024-3028Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read and deletion via logo paths

Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

Path traversal in Mintplex Labs AnythingLLM before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete arbitrary server files. The logo utility passes the stored logo_filename value into path.join without normalization before file retrieval or unlink operations. Administrative access to the system-preferences API is required, and deletion can interrupt service or destroy application data.
