Code execution via SVG parser use-after-free
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in Adobe Aero 0.23.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute code as the current user through a malicious SVG file. The SVG parser dereferences an object after its memory is freed; Adobe has not disclosed the affected function or object lifetime. Exploitation requires the victim to open the crafted file, after which code runs with that user's privileges.
