Code execution via out-of-bounds GIF parser write
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 2024 28.3 and earlier and 2023 27.9.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code. The GIF parser writes beyond a buffer boundary while processing crafted image data; Adobe has not identified the affected routine or field. Execution requires a local user to open the malicious file and runs in that user's context on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
