Session hijacking via unescaped filter reflection
Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Cacti 1.3.x DEV allows remote attackers to steal user cookies and impersonate affected users through a crafted link. The display_settings function writes the filter query parameter into an HTML input value with get_request_var and no output escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open the crafted URL; the injected script can read that user's cookie and reuse the session, with no reported availability impact.
