CVE-2024-30265Public exploitNetwork attack vector

File disclosure via filesystem-rooted static handler

Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Local file inclusion in Voilà allows remote attackers to read server-accessible files through a crafted /static route request. The application sets Tornado StaticFileHandler's root to the filesystem root instead of the configured static directory, so a user-controlled route path resolves outside the intended content tree. Network access is sufficient when the deployment exposes the route without authentication; disclosed files are limited to those readable by the Voilà server account.
