CVE-2024-30260Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via cross-origin redirect header forwarding

Published Apr 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Information disclosure in Node.js Undici before 5.28.4 and 6.0.0 through 6.11.0 allows remote attackers to obtain proxy credentials via redirects. RedirectHandler.shouldRemoveHeader omits Proxy-Authorization from the headers removed when undici.request() follows a cross-origin redirect, causing the value to be forwarded to the new origin. Exploitation requires an application to supply that header, enable automatic redirection, and follow a redirect to an attacker-controlled endpoint.
