Authenticated file read and deletion via logo paths
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in Mintplex Labs AnythingLLM before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete files through logo APIs. determineLogoFilepath and removeCustomLogo join a stored logo filename to the assets path without normalizing it, enabling traversal outside that directory. The APIs require authenticated access; a crafted stored logo name can expose or remove application files, including the SQLite database.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
