Stored XSS via unescaped admin settings
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Restpack AnnounceKit 2.0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through plugin admin settings. The settings path accepts and stores attacker-controlled values without sufficient input sanitization, then renders them into pages without output escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to WordPress multisite deployments or installations with unfiltered_html disabled.
