CVE-2024-30228Network attack vector

Subscriber-level object injection via untrusted PHP deserialization

Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

PHP object injection in Hercules Design Hercules Core 6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects through untrusted input. The plugin deserializes attacker-controlled data without validation, but published advisories do not identify the affected handler or parameter. Subscriber-level access is required; no gadget chain is included in the plugin, so file deletion, data disclosure, or code execution requires a usable chain in another installed component.
