Administrator-level code execution via insufficient filename validation
Published Apr 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in BookingPress 1.0.87 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute code. The bookingpress_process_upload function accepts an attacker-controlled filename without sufficient validation before storing the uploaded file. Administrator-level access is required, and an uploaded server-executable file grants code execution on the WordPress host.
