CVE-2024-30212Public exploit

Memory disclosure and corruption via block-range overflow

Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Integer overflow in Microchip MPLAB Harmony 3 Core Module before 3.13.4 allows physically proximate attackers to read or write memory. DRV_MEMORY_SetupXfer adds the attacker-controlled starting block and count as a 32-bit value, allowing the range check to wrap and accept an out-of-range transfer. Direct USB access to affected firmware permits RAM disclosure or corruption, including pointer changes that expose program or boot flash.
