Improper update validation in Siemens SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager before 3.0.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute malicious code. The client accepts update files without properly verifying their integrity, allowing a network-path attacker to replace an update in transit. Exploitation requires control of traffic between server and client and an authorized user who installs the altered update.
