CVE-2024-30189

Frame disclosure via queued-frame security-context change

Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information disclosure in Siemens SCALANCE W700 devices of all versions allows physically proximate attackers to intercept Wi-Fi frames. The devices queue frames, then change their security context in a way that transmits target-destined data to the attacker. The attacker requires Wi-Fi proximity, low privileges, and user interaction; exposed frames can include cleartext, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
