Authenticated object injection via unsafe widget deserialization
Published Mar 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in Essential Addons for Elementor 5.9.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject objects through widget data. The Login | Register Form widget deserializes the attacker-controlled error_resetpassword attribute without restricting object creation. Author-level access is required, the widget is disabled by default, and file deletion, data retrieval, or code execution requires a usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
