Authenticated root command execution via NTP serverName
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
Command injection in Atlona AT-OME-MS42 Matrix Switcher 1.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands via serverName. time.cgi interpolates the unvalidated NTP serverName value into an ntpd command with snprintf and passes the result to lsystem without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Valid management credentials and network access are required; injected commands run as root, but their output is not returned in the HTTP response.
