CVE-2024-3016Network attack vector

Unauthenticated settings changes via hidden functionality

Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024

Hidden functionality in NEC DT900 and DT900S 5.0.0.0 through 5.3.4.4 and 5.4.0.0 through 5.6.0.20 lets remote attackers change settings. An undocumented settings interface accepts unauthenticated local-network requests and writes device configuration; NEC has not disclosed the interface, request format, or code-level flaw. Exploitation requires local-network reachability and permits configuration changes, while the published assessment reports no availability impact.
