Insecure default service exposure in the HCL Sametime UIM client 12.0.2 and earlier allows local users to interrupt its service. The client starts an unused legacy REST service over unencrypted HTTP by default, exposing an unnecessary request-processing endpoint. The local endpoint requires neither authentication nor user interaction; impact is limited to availability, and HCL has not disclosed the request that triggers interruption.
