Authenticated memory corruption via oversized mac parameter
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1205 2.0.0.7(775) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted mac parameter. The GetParentControlInfo handler accepts an oversized mac argument without enforcing the destination stack buffer boundary, causing an out-of-bounds write. Low-privileged access to the network management interface is required, and reliable code execution has not been publicly documented.
