Code execution via untrusted search path
Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Untrusted search path handling in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition allows local users to execute arbitrary code. Microsoft maps the flaw to CWE-426 but has not published the affected component, searched path, or attacker-controlled resource that is loaded. Exploitation requires user interaction; successful execution can read or modify data and interrupt the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
