Memory corruption in Microsoft Windows Kernel Streaming allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges by racing a crafted event request. The ksthunk CKSAutomationThunk::ThunkEnableEventIrp path checks a user-controlled event flag, then refetches it while proxying IOCTL_KS_ENABLE_EVENT as KernelMode, allowing the flag and kernel-object pointer to change between uses. A low-privileged WoW64 process must win the race; successful exploitation increments chosen kernel memory and enables access to a privileged process.
