Remote code execution via OLE heap overflow
Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows OLE allows remote attackers to execute code when an authenticated user connects to a malicious SQL server. Microsoft has not disclosed which OLE routine mishandles data from the server or the operation that overruns the heap buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction and existing user privileges, and successful code runs in that user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
