Code execution via crafted event trace log

Integer overflow in Microsoft Windows ETL parsing allows local attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted event trace log file. The public Microsoft and CNA records identify the Event Trace Log parser and integer overflow, but do not disclose the affected calculation or parser routine. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-supplied ETL content and can run code in the context of the affected process.
