Download permission-prompt bypass via crafted redirect
Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Spoofing in Microsoft Edge for iOS before 126.0.2592.56 allows remote attackers to bypass a download permission prompt via a crafted URL. A specially crafted link alters the vulnerable link's content, redirects the user to a malicious site, and suppresses the download permission dialog. Exploitation requires the user to click the link; malicious code can send limited browser information associated with that URL and modify its content.
