Authentication bypass via login-field SQL injection
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
SQL injection in index.php in Code Projects Online Book System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via login fields. The login handler accepts a quote-prefixed OR tautology in the username field and evaluates it within the authentication query instead of treating it as data. No account or user interaction is required; successful exploitation grants application access without valid credentials, while broader database effects have not been demonstrated.
