Improper condition handling in Phoenix SecureCore firmware allows local users to cause temporary denial of service via a UEFI variable. The flaw lies in SCT's use of an Intel-specific UEFI variable, but Phoenix does not disclose the exact exceptional condition left unchecked. Exploitation requires local high privileges on an affected Intel platform and can interrupt service through unsafe memory access.
