CVE-2024-29970Public exploit

Enclave data disclosure and corruption via signal forwarding

Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025

Signal injection in Fortanix Enclave OS 3.36.1941-EM allows local users with host OS control to disclose or corrupt enclave data. Its interface forwards host operating-system signals into the SGX enclave without verifying their legitimacy, causing attacker-selected application handlers to execute. Exploitation requires control of the untrusted host operating system and an enclave application whose registered handler changes sensitive state; effects include secret disclosure, altered output, or a crash.
