Supply-chain attack via periodic third-party pings
Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Information exposure in Brocade SANnav before 2.3.0a and 2.3.1 allows remote attackers to launch appliance supply-chain attacks. A background SANnav service sends recurring ping commands to gridgain.com to check for component updates, exposing a fixed third-party dependency. No authentication is required; Brocade does not disclose how control of that dependency translates into appliance compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
