Authenticated command execution via unvalidated MAC parameter
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Command injection in the FH1203 2.0.1.6 web interface allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary operating-system commands. The formWriteFacMac handler for /goform/WriteFacMac builds a device command from the attacker-controlled mac parameter without validating command syntax. Access to the router management interface is required, and successful injection runs commands with the web service privileges on the appliance.
