Authenticated code execution via stored chart JavaScript
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in DataLens before 0.1449.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted charts. The chart creation API accepts custom JavaScript for a special chart type and persists it for execution in an unprotected sandbox when the chart is requested. Low-privileged chart creation or modification access is required; later requests to the chart run the stored code in the DataLens UI execution context.
