Traffic interception via unconditional certificate acceptance
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Improper certificate validation in Serverpod serverpod_client before 1.2.6 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read or alter HTTPS traffic. ServerpodClient assigns HttpClient.badCertificateCallback a handler that returns true for every rejected X.509 certificate. Exploitation requires a network position that can intercept and hijack the client-to-server connection; server availability is unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
