Session theft via unneutralized description parameter

Published Mar 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Sapplica Sentrifugo 3.2 allows remote attackers to steal session data through a crafted site-preference URL. The sitepreference/add endpoint incorporates the description parameter into generated HTML without neutralizing executable browser content. A victim must follow the crafted URL, after which the injected script runs in that victim's browser and exposes the active session.
