Session theft via unescaped expense category name
Published Mar 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Sapplica Sentrifugo 3.2 allows remote attackers to steal a victim's session data through a crafted expense category URL. The expense category edit endpoint places the expense_category_name parameter into generated page content without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires the victim to open the attacker-supplied URL, after which script runs in the Sentrifugo origin and can read session data.
