Authenticated memory corruption via oversized mac parameter
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted mac value. The GetParentControlInfo handler at /goform/GetParentControlInfo processes the attacker-controlled mac argument without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. Low-privileged web-interface access is required; public evidence demonstrates the overflow but does not establish reliable code execution.
