CVE-2024-29855Network attack vector

Administrative access via hard-coded JWT secret

Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025

Authentication bypass in Veeam Recovery Orchestrator 7.0.0.337 and 7.1.0.205 allows remote attackers to access its web UI as administrators. The Web Console validates attacker-forged JWTs with a signing secret embedded in the application. Exploitation requires the exact username and role of an account with an active VRO UI access token; successful token hijacking grants administrative web access.
