CVE-2024-29848Network attack vector

SYSTEM code execution via unrestricted FileStoreConfig upload

Published May 31, 2024 · Updated Sep 19, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.4.3.602 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as SYSTEM. The FileStoreConfig app fails to validate user-supplied data and accepts arbitrary file uploads that can be executed. A privileged Avalanche account is required, and successful exploitation grants SYSTEM-context command execution on the server.
