Unauthenticated code execution via AgentPortal deserialization
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Deserialization of untrusted data in Ivanti Endpoint Manager before 2022 SU6 or the 2024 September update allows remote attackers to execute code. AgentPortal.exe registers an unsecured .NET Remoting TCP channel and deserializes attacker-controlled binary request messages. The Agent Portal service runs by default, so unauthenticated network access to its dynamically selected TCP channel is sufficient.
